Italo filmmaker Nanni Moretti to mind Cannes jury

MorettiItalian filmmaker Nanni Moretti continues to be drawn on to mind the jury only at that year's Cannes Film Festival. "The Festival desired to celebrate its 65th season having a European jury leader," stated Cannes delegate general Thierry Fremaux in announcing the choice. "High-spirited and marked by his modernity and intelligence, Nanni Moretti's films would be the version of best wishes in cinema in the last three decades.Inch The 2011 festival runs May 16-27. Moretti has presented six films in the festival and won the Palme d'Or for "The Son's Room" in 2001. Younger crowd required the director trophy for "Dear Diary" in 1994. He directed and behaved in last year's Papal comedy "Habemus Papam" within the competition. Festival chief Gilles Jacob stated he'd a premonition that Moretti would be a major estimate cinema in 1978 when his "Ecce Bombo" was joined into competition.
