'8' equals million

The starry Sept. 19 reading through of Dustin Lance Black's play "8" in the Eugene O'Neill Theater produced a lot more than $a million for that American Foundation for Equal Privileges. The Prop. 8 drama gave Bradley Whitford an excellent showcase because the lawyer fighting an progressively losing fight. The loudest applause, though, was reserved for the similar-sex couples performed by Christine Lahti and Ellen Barkin and TV heartthrobs Matt Bomer and Cheyenne Jackson. The actual-existence litigants became a member of the curtain call, and after litigant Paul Katami hugged Jackson, he could not resist an audience-pleasing double take that plainly stated, "Take a look at how hot I'm!Inch :- Gordon Cox Contact Variety Staff at news@variety.com
